How to install the Passiv Smart Thermostat with a Grant heat pump

To install the Passiv Smart Thermostat with Grant heat pumps, for either 1 or 2 zones with wired or wireless Thermostats, follow the steps below. 

1. Check compatibility
   View all compatible Grant heat pumps at Grant supported heat pumps.
2. Follow the Installation Guide
   This is included in the box, or you can download a digital version of the Passiv Smart Thermostat Installation Guide.
3. Connect the RS485 Modbus and immersion wiring
   All necessary RS485 Modbus and immersion heater connections can be found in Grant RS485 and immersion connections.
4. Change the heat pump settings
   Make sure that all parameters on the Grant indoor controller are set to the values listed in Grant heat pump settings.
5. Commission the Passiv Smart Thermostat
   Follow the instructions on the Programmer to commission the Passiv Smart Thermostat. You can find a video guide on commissioning on our YouTube channel.
