Haier heat pump settings

For the heat pump to operate correctly with the Passiv Smart Thermostat, the heat pump settings must be adjusted. The following steps are performed on the Haier control panel and assume a new installation*:

• Installation → System Installation → DHW On Temp → 75C (from default of 45C)

  • This is needed to support anti-legionella cycles performed by Passiv Smart Thermostat. This setting change will maximise the use of the heat pump and avoid the use of the immersion element to complete the disinfection cycle. 

• Installation-> Equipment Installation → Allow Tank Heater → ON (from default of OFF)

*In the event the installation is already installed, it is likely other factory defaults have been altered. Please refer to the Haier troubleshooting page for additional checks.
